Luther Manor Communities opened the first Alzheimer and Dementia suite, Sunshine Valley Suites, in the Tri-State area in 1996.  We provide a quiet and controlled environment to ensure a low stimulus setting.  It is not an easy decision to recognize your loved one may need specialized care, so let Luther Manor's expert staff help assess the needs and care you may need.  

Sunshine Valley Suites, licensed by the State of Iowa, provides care of memory related illnesses in a house-hold model of 12 private and 2 semi-private suites.

Individual memory boxes are outside each suite to showcase important family treasures to provide Reminiscence Therapy.

	Each room is uniquely designed to provide extra space for your loved ones to walk without getting disoriented and all meals are served in an open accessible area. Activities are designed to encourage the resident's best level of participation as well as weekly worship services. Luther Manor's individualized plan of care and qualified staff draw on a full range of resources and utilization of Nursing, Physicians, Social Workers, Clergy and family members to reach out to our residents in need of personal attention.
